Running SafiServer 1.3 BETA on Linux

Run in Console Mode

1: Download SafiServer for Windows (Make sure to download version 1.3+)

2: Untar the file into a directory of your choice

tar zxfv SafiServer-1.3.0.Beta.tar.gz

3: Modify the SafiServer-1.3.0.Beta/etc/safi.environment.cfg file

• Set user.password to what you want your sa password to be (you will use this password to login to SafiServer from the SafiWorkshop)
• Set custom.init.host to the name (or address) of the Web Service Custom Initiator
• Set custom.init.port to the port of the Web Service Custom Initiator

4: Launch SafiServer by running (change the path to match your install):

/safisystems/SafiServer-1.3.0.Beta/bin/safiserver

You should see the following (NOTE: the startup process may pause here for minute before proceeding)

The first time the server is started it will create the database used. You should see the following after everything has started:

Shutdown in console mode

You can shutdown SafiServer by entering the following into the karaf console:

osgi:shutdown
